●Fisher-Klosterman, Inc. was contacted by a major lumber mill in Louisiana to replace existing cyclones on a planer mill and wood hog system that were not only worn out, but did not meet current regulations. The mill produces 2 x 4 and 4 x 4 products for commercial resalers. Sawdust and chip samples were provided by the customer for both systems for FKI to complete particle size distributions. This enables us to give overall efficiency warranties. The project required 2 years from initial contact to state permitting.

The planer mill has four pick-up points at the planer and one trimmer hood. FKI supplied the two cyclones, one (1) support structure and two (2) new fans with the planer mill cyclone.

In addition, we supplied the engineering drawings for our customer to secure a contractor to supply and install all ducting, stacks, vibration joints, supports and tie-ins to the existing duct systems.
